Sprung Video about us

Sprung Video was created in 1997 by Milan Spasic and Alex Rankin, two friends from a Plymouth Art College media course. We rode MTB together as the DH scene was growing in the UK.  After graduation Alex an ex skater copied the idea of the 411 skateboard video magazine concept also duplicated by Props BMX video magazine to create with Milan the 'Sprung Video Magazine' series.  The format idea gave us the ability to make a start in the MTB industry which welcomed us with open arms.  Although we only produced 5 Sprung films in 4 years with the magazine concept disappearing to focus on a higher quality annual release we had a significant impact on the MTB collective conscious.  Alex went on to produce the Earthed MTB series for Dirt Magazine and other 4130 publishing titles followed by a still productive freelance career. Milan became a successful LA based cinematographer and in-between shooting major projects he can be found sailing round the Med on his yacht.
